Correlative light and electron microscopic analysis ESCRT-localisation during mitosis

Abstract

The aim of this project will be to understand, using advanced correlative light and electron microscopy, how an important membrane-remodeling complex (the ESCRT-machinery) is correctly localized and functions during mitosis. You will use genome editing to create reporter constructs to allow you visualize ESCRT movement through the cell cycle and will also employ tools to disrupt ESCRT localization and will examine the physiological consequences of these treatments.
