Our laboratory has been focusing on the physiology and pathophysiology of blood vessels.
Our research has a specific interest on glomerular capillaries, known to be an extremely specialised vascular district regulated by a specific growth factor network that interconnect the function of perivascular and intravascular cells. Our current work has identified novel molecules and pathways involved in the physiology and pathophysiology of renal and vascular diseases. Our team utilises different in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo, tools that has allowed us to answer novel and interesting questions and to be at the forefront of research in our field.
